Amy + Adam… a burly Scotsman and his beautiful lady, married by the sea in Scotland.

Scotland. My favourite place. It has always been a dream to photograph a wedding there, combining my love of the place with work…. what an absolute dream come true. When Amy + Adam reached out about bringing me over to shoot their wedding I was beside myself with excitement. The fact that these two were the loveliest, most fun loving couple who wanted to plan a more non-traditional day just added to the excitement. Adam is everything you imagine a scotsman to be, statuesque, beautiful thick accent, can wear a kilt like no-one’s business and just a darling of a human. And Amy, well she is everything that Adam is, all wrapped up in a beautiful womanly version.

Their wedding day was held in a castle (Archerfield House) on one of the sunniest days of the summer, with their party moved to the seaside location near North Berwick. I never thought I would get a golden hour in Scotland, but holy heck she proved me wrong. I begged A&A to step outside with me for 5 minutes and we’re all glad we did.

The recovery party the next day was just as fun… cue an ice cream cart and the bride sculling a pint of guiness on the dance floor and you’ve got a wedding for the history books. Ugh, a dream come true for this Scottish lass and a day I will never forget.
